Purpose-built Solar Stills
Due to the remoteness of many areas in the Zambezia Province, fresh water is an issue. Together with entrepreneur, Alex Smith, Earth Legacy Foundation developed a solar still that can produce over 20 litres of fresh water per day, per still. The still can use seawater or grey water. The first prototype of the still was installed in January 2019 and proved to work well. More solar stills were developed for the coastal communities, providing fresh drinking water for families in the area.
